Adam Garcia
Triple threat Adam Garcia was born in Australia in 1973 and knew from a very early age that he wanted to be on the stage. He left university in the late 90s and began his theatrical career in the musical "Hot Shoe Shuffle" (Queen's Theatre). The production toured Australia for two years before transferring to London.
During this time, Adam co-founded the dance troupe "TapDogs" which earned international critical acclaim and propelled Adam into stardom!. Since then, Adam has been on and off the stage and screen, going on to have incredible success and being nominated for numerous awards during his acting career. Adam received a Laurence Olivier nomination for Best Actor for his portrayal of Tony Manero in the 1998 smash hit revival of "Saturday Night Fever" (London Palladium).
In the same year his cover of the BeeGee's "Night Fever" made it to the UK charts coinciding with his rise to fame in the stage world for his performance in Saturday Night Fever. Some of Adam's other theatrical credits include "On the Town" (Theatre du Chatlet) and (ENO), "Grease" (Dominion Theatre), as well as working alongside Idina Menzel as the first to play the role of Fieyro in the West End production of "Wicked" (Apollo Victoria) in 2006.
Adam's transition into film began in 1997 when he played Jones in "Wilde" (Samuelson Entertainment Ltd) a film about the life of writer Oscar Wilde. Garcia has since appeared in a number of films such as "Coyote Ugly" (Jerry Bruckheimer/Disney), "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" (Disney) and played opposite Drew Barrymore in "Riding in Cars with Boys" (Columbia).
Towards the end of 2008, Garcia appeared on our television screens in ITV drama "Britania High" where he played the dance teacher at a Performing Arts School. He also appeared in Mr Eleven, another ITV drama alongside Michelle Ryan and Sean Maguire.
Adam has recently finished the third series of the popular SKY1 show "Got to Dance", where he appeared as a judge alongside Ashley Banjo (Diversity) and Kimberly Wyatt. Adam is thrilled to be working with Kimberly again on Revolution.
